Blackleaf Studio + Blackleaf DT Card

Hello Crafty Folks,

What are you creating today? Must be the wonderful crafts as ever :). I have some great news to share with you and of'course the card will follow...

First the news -
I was chosen as a DT member for the Blackleaf Studio. There was much going-on there. The page design has been changed to this amazing one. There was new Designer Team on-board. The Store have some fabulous images for you to choose from. And the glittering news is from now own you can get a chance to win a free digi each day. How?? Its very simple. Each day, one of the design team member post her wonderful creation on the blog (except Saturday - it is a sketch challenge day). You just have to comment on the post and there you get a chance to enter in a drawing for a freebie.  Isn't it easy-peasy?? You can explore the blog from here or can grab the image for you blog too :)

Now on to my 1st DT card for the Blackleaft Studio:
Here is one closer look:

Aren't these adorable?? See, I promised you in my previous post that I will come up with something different for my next card and here I am with these cute Owliiees :). Oh, I loved playing with them. They are from the set called Owl Magic Stamps.

I cut them out and placed them one over the other just like best buddies (hand-in-hand)..lolz. The vertical set of papers are shaved and distressed with brownstone ink. The swing like branches were cut out from a border punch and arranged accordingly. The sentiment says "ur the best friend". I used some ribbon and some faux stitching around the card and sentiments.

I am playing in the following challenges with this card:
Get Sketchy - gs#49
Paper Sundaes - challenge#29 'stitching'
Stampin' Sisters in Christ - challenge#50 'use any kind of bird' [I used owls]
Stamp n Doodle - 'anything goes'
By the Cute & Girly - august challenge 'animal antics'
2 Sisters - challenge#3 'punches' [I punched out the swing like branches for owls]
Cupcake Craft - challenge#102 'distressing'
ColorQ -challenge#44 'color inspiration'

Recipe for this card -
Papers - Cardstock in orange and blue from recollection. DPs from Martha Stewart
Punches - McGill border punch
Stamps - clear stamps from Stampendous
Others - Ribbon from stash, white gel pen, markers

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your love. Cyu soon with another creation :)
Hugs & xoxo
