Wonderful News - Paper Cutz DT Member

Hey Everyone,

I am again out of my shell with some greeeaaatttt news and a card. First of all, the news.... I was so honored to be chosen as a DT member of Paper Cutz Challenge Blog. All the crafters are so wonderful and talented that I am looking forward to work with them :). Mary has presented each of the DTs, this nice button to showcase on our blogs.
And we have new challenges posted every Friday. I hope you all join us every Friday for some fun and frolic challenges and beautiful inspirations.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And now onto my card. It's been a week now since my last posting. Somehow, I crept into my shell (as a true cancerian) every now and then, and then boost myself again in the direction of light..lolzz. Many things lined-up and many targets to achieve... hopefully will get through them easily :).
I made this card 3 days ago, but didn't get time to post it. I started taking swimming classes, yesterday was my first class. Yes dearies, you read it correct, I don't know swimming until now. But, its better late than never. And ohh gosh, its soo tiring after spending time in water... Even now, I feel so dizzy that I just want to sleep..lolzz. So here is my card
 A colorful one to brighten my shell days..lolzzz. One close shot of that hand made flower (no punches, no cuttlebug)
With a simple sketch from Clean and simple stamping, this card only flashes some punched butterflies, ribbon and a handmade flower - all glittered up with cute button as a center some thread knot. A 5.5"X4" card has also some colorful designer paper to glintz the background.
This card is also goes to the following challenges:
Crafty Catz weekly - challenge#47 'orange, blue & brown'
Recipe for this card -
Paper - Kraft CS, PP from Martha Stewart & Colorbok
This is all from my side now... You have a wonderful weekend and I also relieve my aching muscles..lolzz
Hugs & xoxo
Just Saying Hi!
Hey Everyone,
Its Wednesday, time for another Stamp it up post for Blackleaf Design Studio and also only two more days to go for the weekend.. wohoo!! So, this time I chose to work with another one (rather I would say two) of the wonderful creations of Tanvi from the Blackleaf Studios and these are from the stampset called "Sea Life Stamps". Have a look at what I created:
A use of net/mesh (I saved it from a pack of gourmet potatoes, thought of using it for some project and finally did it), patterned paper depicting water and ripples... the orange colored fish with some golden touch-ups here and there... the beige cardstock is inked on the edges and also dabbed some blue with a sponge on the whole CS. With blings, some more ripples and a sentiment completes the look of this card.
Here is the golden fish :P :
I used a sketch from Everything but the kitchen sink.
And I am playing along the following challenges:
Creative Card Crew - 'Sparkle & Shine'
Pile it On - challenge#32 'get into shape'
Delightful Challenges - 'animal with dots and stripes'
Stampin' B's Design Team - challenge#71 'create a scene'
Moxie fab World - Tuesday trigger 'pic inspiration'
Creative Inspiration - challenge#40 'recycle element' (I used the mest/net from my kitchen)
Practical Scrappers - monthly challenge 'water for august'
Hope you like the card and the images. You can also get a chance to win some images from Blackleaf Design. Just hop onto the blog and leave a comment on the post. One lucky winner each day will get a freebie.. :) Or just shop the entire set from Blackleaf Studio.
Here is a closer look at this adorable creature :)
I stamped the background with start shaped stamp. Colored the owl with my pencil colors and set the scrap cut out strips of paper as a branch of tree. A little distressing and some brads gives me a desired look :).
Recipe of this card:
Paper - white CS from recollection, Corrugated mauve CS, green PP from pressed petals
Stamp - star shaped form stamp (one of my first stamp, when I didn't know the ABC of stamping :0)
Happy Crafting :)
Just because...
Hey Everyone,
Just because its Monday, a new start of the week with a new card :). Just because the weather is kind of shady (its been raining since night), I need some cheerie with a card to upbeat my mood.. lolzz. Just because.... there can be so many options we can hook up with these two words :). That's why I chose these two words as a sentiment for my next card (and would use them again and again :)). I made this card yesterday for Some Odd Girl DigiDay challenge, but couldn't get time to upload it on my blog... Sunday errands..(sigh :(). So, here what I created:
Aren't these the cutest flowers?? I know, my penchant with flowers would never go..lolzz. I can't help it, I craved to use these beautiful creatures on my card in one or the other way :).
Here is one closer shot of these beauties :)
I used a sketch from Get Sketchy (GS#51). Doped out some flowers, glitters and blings; distressed PP; used some faux stitching and a multi-meaning sentiment. {Whistle!!} The card is set in just 15 minutes :)
I try to keep my mojo alive in this dull weather. You take very good care of yourself.
Happy Crafting!
Ohh wait, I am not talking about Valentines' Day in the month of August. But, then why not, is there any season or month fixed to express your love. Birthday with flowers
Hello Folks,
Just a quick post for a card that I created yesterday.
I wanted to post it y'day only, but my lazy bones didn't get me to do the job. Very bad on my side..pheww!!!
Hope you are enjoying the sun (or shades at some parts of the world).... Here its really getting hotter each day. And I just wanted to grab some coldie and enjoy it in some cozy cool corner. Howz the idea? :)
Now for the card, I created this card for the Photo-synthesis Challenge. I like the blog idea, first its green things and also promote reusable items. Although I have not used any this time, but will try to reuse some item next time :). I have a habit of keeping items at a safer place to be used in future and then its the case of 'out of sight, out of mind' with me..lolzz. Will have to peek in every drawer and corner for keeping them handy for the next time :). I know, enough of my whack whack!
The challenge this time is of picture inspiration and this is what I created:
I never tried this color combo till yet. but it turned out quite good :). Do you also think alike? :) Here is another look of the card:
Falling for You!
Hello Dearies,
It seems like ages, I have not posted any card here. But, it doesn't mean that my creative mojo left me far :). I have created a card, 2-3 boxes (it is so much fun making your own gift boxes) and also started a canvas painting. Whew!! Am very much excited to finish it off and to show you all ;).
First the card's turn. Here is my card:
Doesn't the flower look sweet? You know what, I think I got crazy about the flowers. I use them in almost each of my creations :o. Every time I start with a card, I poke myself to create on some other theme. But each time I just end up with flowers as a center theme. I think I am "Falling for Flowers" lolzz. Next time, I come up with something different, I promise ;).
Heres a closer look of my card:
I used a texted wrapping paper for the base. The color was so warm and it is saying "Celebrating the moment" and moreover I grabbed it from Target for couple of pennies :D. Don't you like it too? I used punched flowers again in warm and vibrant colors and cut out a petal or two for falling affect. I stamped a small flower on red cardstock to toppled the set of flowers. The blue cardstock was inked on edges giving it distressing look. The sentiment is really sweet "Falling for you". And I used a bit of faux stitching.
I created this card using Clean&Simple stamping's FTL 101 sketch.
This card is also in for the following challenges:
Creative Inspiration - challenge#39 'anything goes'
Cute Card Thursday - challenge#123 'texting crazy' [I used printed paper that says 'celebrating the moments'
Etsy Inspired#99 - featured store 'Becky Kazana' and my inspiration picture is:
This is a cute party hat, would be best for a birthday party :). you can find the details here.
Paper Play Challenge - week#30 'anything goes'
Mami Doodles - challenge#7 'anything goes'
Stamp N Doodle - 'anything goes'
Ellephantastic Challenges - challenge#5 'distressing'
Paper Sundaes - challenge#29 'stitching'
HFOS - challenge#38 'sept & Oct' [I created something related to Fall season. Hope it qualifies for the challeneg ;)]
Recipe for this card -
Paper - Card base from Recollection, cardstock in yellow and blue from Creative Collections, Golden printed paper from Target
Flowers - punched and cut outs from colorbok
Sentiment - from Hampton art
I wanted to show you the gift boxes also, but the picture didn't come out well. So, that is saved for the next post :D.
Thank you for stopping by and spending your precious time. I love to hear from you.
Tadas till next time :)
