Now, onto the deets of my new creation, the one I also sent to the YNS DT call.

I really enjoyed working on this card due to several reasons, I guess. First, I tried paper piercing for the first time and it turned out real well :D. Second, I love the colors - anything with the hues of purple/mauve, I just love playing with them :D. Thirdly, I get to use my new stamp set & the ribbon :D. And lastly - it's a CAS, a quickie ;).
Heres another shot of my card:
And one more:

I am entering in the following challenges with this card:
ABC Design - paper piercing

Digi Doodle Shop's Best - challenge#18 'punch or cut me' - I used paper piercing

Life's Adorable!

Hello Beauties,

Are you enjoying the Tuesday evening?? Here in Ct its hot and humid..phew!! So, to cool off some heat, I come up with a quickie card and a quickie post. This is for CAS-tastic Challenge. This week's challenge is 'Inspired by Summer'. And I am just squeezing in my entry on time at the last minute..lolzz

Here's my card:
Somehow, I am not able to click a picture that does justice to the card. [Can please someone advice me how to capture a card beautifully :(]
Another look, a closer one :) :
And I have done some fiddling with a cute ant stamp on inside of the card too.
It says, life is adorable but I think the stamp in itself is adorable. I stamped the image on cream cardstock. The side poles are made from toothpicks, tied 2 of them with a thread for each side. The cloth string is also made from bunch of thread, rolled together to form a thicker string. It is tied to the side poles. For the greener ground, I cut out a form sheet and punch it for the flower-bed. Sentiment "Life is" hand-written and "Adorable" is stamped. And lastly made small small clouds over the top.
For the inside of the card. I stamped this cute little ant stamp (got it for some cents :D) several times over the edge.

Recipe for this card:
Paper - cardstock in creme from Potpourri and form sheet in green
Stamps - clear stamp from Brenda Walton (kiddie cloths and sentiment), rubber stamp of little ant from The Little Classic
Inks - from Petal Point in green, mauve and blue; Martha Stewart in coal
Punch - border punches from McGill

Thanks for stopping by. I {heart} your wonderful love.

Kaboodle Doodle Cahllenge#36 - Guest DT

Hey Peoplezz,

Its Monday again. And I know you so not like Mondays... neither do I :D. But just a light-bulb thought, if there is no Mondays, how can we enjoy our Sundays :P. What's your say? The silly bulb, I know!! lolz. This happens to me all the time and my Hubsy Darling falls prey to these blub flickers most of the time ;)

So, with Monday here, we have a new challenge at Kaboodle Doodle. And the team comes up with brilliantly vibrant 'Color Challenge'. Here, take a look....
This week's sponsor is spectacular Melissa Jenkins of Meljen's Designs. Oh Boy! all her creations are simply adorable. Check for yourself.

I was honored to be a part of the creative team at Kaboodle Doodle as a Guest DT. The ladies are simply awesome and their creations are truly inspirational.
Here's my share for the challenge:
Have a look at another, closer shot:

I used one of the digis from Meljen Designs called "Giraffe's Necktie". Then, I created its mirror image and name it "Giraffe's heart bling" lolzz... Aren't they looking cute together? Now, onto the other specs of the card. I used a white cardstock as base and inked its edges in green. For the lavender layer, I stamped the sheet with my cutely new Brenda Walton's stamp set. The digis are printed on textured cardstock in creme. I know, its a bit dificult to color on these sheets, but I somehow like the checkered texture. It giving some cool look to the 'kind of' jungle scene :). What you think? I used some blings here and there and diased it up with flowers and ribbon.

This card is also up for the following challenges:
Friday Sketchers - sketch#112
S2G - twisted Thursday#66 'use Orange'
Craftalicious - challenge#4 ' birthday'

Christmas In July

Hey there,

A festive preparation has started in every blog and corner. People are creating cards in advance to avoid celebration rush. Even the stores are offering "Christmas in July" sale. Can you beat that? :)
I also thought of joining the fun :). So, heres my share of preparation:

The beautiful digi is from Amber Ink. Isn't it gorgeous? She got plenty of the likes in her kitty, just hop onto her blog :) and you will be amazed. As of the card, both the images were printed separately and I positioned the girlie as if she is ornamenting the tree. I placed her with pop-dots for some natural impression. And for some added sparkle, I made the swirls of light around the stem of the tree. I used extensive amount of blings and glitters. The edges were inked with glitter glue. I cut out sentiment in a banner shape and dab it all with 3D paint in glittering gold. It is attached to the card with cute butterfly brads.

Here is an another look of my card.

On this Starry Night.... Missing you!!

Hello Everyone,
On this starry night at the sea, my heart wants us to “we”;
The silver lining of the clouds, makes us go rounds ‘n rounds;
My heart misses you even more, like a lone boat longing for shore!!

Dont' worry guys, I am all perfect... not missing anybody. These lines were all over my mind, when I was working on the card. Once, I jotted them down, I like them even more. What do you think?? I think I should use them for inside of my card :). So, here's the most eligible chum to honor these line..lolzz.
Here's is a closer look:

Lots of layers, though!! I gave it a starry night illusion by stamping the cardstock in silver ink. Then cut out a boat shape from different sheet. I used two kinds of waves - one hand-cut and other one is stencil cut. Finally the ruffled ribbon (I got it somewhere in last year & it's been resting in my stash since then..lolz), the stamped sentiment and some blings.

This card is going for the following challenges.
2S4U - sketch # 56
Cook up a Card - Recipe (3 colors, 2 patterned papers & 1 boat)
Shelly's Image -lots of layers
CAS-tastics - CWC012 SIMPLE (I used Stamped/Printed background, Lace, Paper piercing)
Paper Sundaes - challenge#26 lots of layers

Recipe of this card:
Paper - Cardstocks in light blue, medium blue, midnight blue, red & brown, DP (for boat) from White Out Collection
Stamps - star stamp from Studio G (i.cling) & sentiment from Stampendous
Ribbon - from my stash
Blings
Sparkle pens

I {heart} you for stopping by and for spare your precious time for leaving your love :)

You Rock!!

Hello Craft Buddiezz,
Good Evening!

Have you seen today's Soccer match between Germany & Spain. Spain had put on some fab show there. Isn't it?? With all those nail-biting moments, exchanging of ball and the last minute shufflings, I was also working on a card. You can very well imagine, what I was doing more..lolzz. After completing my card layout, I was indecisive with the sentiment. And then goes the whistle, and the team for the final clash was rocking high. So, I got my sentiment..lolzz. Here for the Spain - Congrats, You Rock!!

Now, enough of my blah-blah :)... coming to the card, my very sweet friend Monika invited me to play Jazzy Paper Designs Challenge. Its a color challenge, based on a CD cover of Herbie Hancock album, The Headhunters. Very funky shades, I must say :)
Here's my take on the colors:

Here's another look:
I used the sketch from CPS # 174

The DP used are from Best Occasions and Deja Views (Star Studded). I placed the circular paper on form sheet to give it an embossed look. The diamond shape cut out is adding glint to the layout. The sentiment is from Stampendous - "Congrats, you rock!". Although, I come up with this sentiment coz of Spain's victory; but the sentiment also goes along celebrating Graduation day also :D. I added some rhinestones for extra shine :).

I am also playing other challenges with this card:
Simon Says - photo inspiration challenge, and their exotic summer cocktail is :)
2 Sisters - Anything goes
Whoopsi Daisy - Vibrant Colors (I used blue, orange, yellow and fuchsia)
Shelly's Images - Anything goes with a celebration
No Time to Stamp - star light, star bright

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to your beautiful comments.

Beary Beautiful's Garden

Hello Creative Crafters,

I made this card while juggling between many chores :) phewff!!! And its just in time for Phindy's Place Challenge. I used their image "Beary Beautiful". Isn't she really beautiful so I thought of setting her in a flower :) and giving a card a 3D garden theme. Hope I did justice with the image as well as with the challenge theme!!
Here is a closer look of Beary Beautiful...
The DPs I used are from Best Occasions. I cut the pink DP in flower shape and set the digi in center. The petals are rolled in using pencil to give a flower a natural look. The other side of the card has a bed of flowers spread on a form sheet. The flowers are cut outs using McGill punches. I set the sentiment as a garden board, cutting a circular sheet and shaving the border with my pair of scissors for an asymmetric look. The stamps are from Inkadinkado. I pasted this sheet on a pair of toothpicks and make it stand on form sheet. I also used a silver glitter pen to highlight the sentiment.
This card is also going for these challenges:
Just Cute Bears - open theme
Kaboodles Doodles - celebrating summer
Lexi's Creations - layers 3D decoupage
Delightful Challenges - its all about summer
DDCC # 81 - flower inspiration
Paperplay Challenges - card for a child
S2G Challenges - summertime
Digi Doodle Shop Best - circles and dots (I used circle as a center of flower & for sentiment. The dots are on DP)

Its all from me for this time!! Hope you have a splendid 4th of July :)
Have a happy crafting!!
