Card with Fruity Wishes

Hello Creative Crafters,

I am out with an another card :). I made this card for one of my friend's daughter. She is 6 months old and truly a cutee pie :). This is for her ceremony called "First Rice Ceremony". [In India its significance is after this ceremony a baby can eat semi-solid & solid foods :)]. Different places, varied ceremonies but with the sole purpose -  Come Together and Enjoy!! Am I right??

So suiting the occasion, I chose food theme :). And for some added fun, I mixed it with different challenges :)).
Here's is my take of the card:
I used a beautiful sketch drawn by Sharon from Truly Scrumptious Challenge 35 - and used the theme "Strawberries and Cream".

Since, the card was to be signed by group of friends say 20 ;), I had to make it really big ;)... I took 2 whole sheets, punch them from top and joined them with a ribbon. The DPs are from Martha Stewart. The beautiful 'peeker' digi is from Bugaboo Stamps and colored it with water-color pencils. I clipped various pictures of fruits and food items and color them with copic & markers. For the 3D effect, I pasted all the pictures first on form sheet and them pasted them with sticky tape. The sentiment is written on a basket shaped cut-out and the woven print is by me with color pencils.
Here is an another look of the card:
and another one :)

And one more from other dimension :)

I am also playing the following challenges with this card:
The ABC Challenge - X for Xtra dimension (the digi and all the fruits)
Pile it On - Stickers
Paper Sundaes Challenge#23 - Pretty as a Princess
The Crazy Challenge - Anything Spotty (Ribbon, DP and strawberries;)
DDSB Challenge#13 -Anything goes
Cupcake Crafts - Strawberries and Cream
Crafty Catz - Lets go digital
SMC#19  -Anything goes
Winter Wonderland - Strawberries and Cream

Thank you so much for stopping by. I {heart} all your comments :).

Red Rose Bouquet

Good Evening Crafters,

This week 2sketches4you have created a beautiful Kazan's Sketch 55 for their challenge. Here it is:

And The Shabby Tea Room's Week#15 challenge requirement is based on the following inspiration:

So, I mingled them both and here is my take on the sketch and the inspiration:

What else is more impressive than a Red Rose Bouquet for proposing someone :). I created the flowers by punching out 9 flower shapes out of red cardstock. I piled them in a set of 3 each, pasted the layers together and slightly rolled the sides of petals. The base DP are from Best Occasions and Martha Stewart. The center of the flower was made with quilled rolls. I cut 3 strips for the stem and simple leaves from green cardstock. Arranged them in the form of bouquet and tied a red ribbon with a tag "BE MINE". I stamped the background with i.cling stamp with brownstone color ink-pad. I added a cute little butterfly on the top of rose. Here is a closer look of the bouquet.

This is what I got for now. Thanks for stopping by :)
See you around :)

Perfect Summer Sunshine!

Good Evening B'ful People,
Hope you had a relaxing Sunday. Mine was spent in some shopping (grocery of'course ;), some in cooking and some wonderful time in Crafting :). This Friday, Bugaboo posted another set of their creative stamps and call them 'Beach Monkey'. They are so cute. Instantly it gave me a feeling of beach fun!! And when some wonderful challenges are lined up to capture the summer moments. Why not dive for them :D!!

I used a nice sketch form Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge#12.

And this is how it turned out by me :)

I created a perfect beach day with sun, sand, water, balls and mat. I used Best Occasion card stocks in blue and yellow. The cute playing digi is from Bughaboo. I color it with my pencil water colors. I cut out sun and the balls from the form sheet and color them with the markers. The border of the mat is also cut out from form sheet. You cannot enjoy beach if you don't play in sand. So for the sandy feeling, I sprinkle some glitters in gold & silver. The sentiment is punch out stickers, cos I don't have any appropriate stamp for the card.

This card is also going to these challenges:
Stamp Something - Something Summer Challenge
Quirky Crafts - Challenge#30 Summer
The Shabby Tea Room - Summer Fun (Week#14)
Pile it On - Stickers
Pals Paper Arts - Summer Theme
ABC Challenge - W for Weather
Daisy Doodle Creative - Summertime

Thanks for looking :).
Cheers till our next meeting :)

Happy Father's Day!

Heelloo Carfter-buddies,

Hope you all are enjoying every bit of crafting :). So am I. As Father's Day is approaching and every challenge is based on the same theme. I have also plunged into and flowing with the theme ;). I made this Father’s day card for my dad. Though it is simple, yet I adore the way it turned out. So, here’s for you dad with all my love :)
The diamond shapes are cut from the solid and patterned paper and aligned side by side. I cut these punch out flowers from the border sticker from K&Company and place them on the blocks. I like these cute things because it got the printing impressionJ, which I think is perfect for manly card. The stamp is ‘impressions every time’ from Stampendous. And I added the ribbon from my stash to give it a filling effect.

This card goes to the following challenges:
CPS Sketch #171
Stampin' Sisters in Christ - Father's Day Card
Scrapbooking All Sorts - Blog Candy
My Partner for Crafting Crime - Manly
Crafts and Me - Father's Day
Craft Challenge - Father's day/ Manly
Daisy Doodles Creative - Father's day
Cupcake Craft Challenges - One for the Boys

Supplies:
Card/Paper - Cardstock white(Recollection), patterned(White Out) & solid
Punch flowers - K&Company
Stamp - Stampendous ‘impressions every time’
Ribbon - from my stash

That is it for now. It's 1am at my place and feeling very sleepy :o
